FlexiDry is a highly advanced fast drying floor screed which can be used on a number of different types of flooring. Sand and cement screeds are more commonly used both in plastering and wall and floor tiling. Screed mix consists of cement, water, aggregate and sand mix which has a chemical reaction causing the mixture to harden.
The concentration of FlexiDry in the mix water will dictate the rate at which hydration and drying will accelerate. The ratio mixture for the reaction to have effect is one part water to four parts cement, if the ratio is done incorrectly then the mixture will not set properly and be weak this can lead to the mixture shrinking.
However flexidry mix enables more water molecules to bond which speeds up the process and still gives a strong durable mix. Flexidry is an ideal screed for under floor heating as it does not react with the temperature, latex adhesives and because the mixture sets at a faster speed it reduces any surface damage that may occur while waiting for it to set. flexdry can accommodate light foot usage in 12 hours and can be fully set within 7 days.
Flexidry allows the screed to be laid a lot thinner that normal screed so less material is needed and it does not require sealing which reduces cost material costs and is more environmentally friendly, because it is a more dense consistency it provides better thermal conductivity.
