Wessex Water Look To Reduce Annual Energy Costs By £200k

sewage treatment plant Wessex Water, who undertake sewage treatment for the south of the country, has undergone improvement works to one of its sewage treatment plants in a bid to reduce operating costs. The treatment works has under gone a massive modernisation program to reduce their yearly running costs by spending four hundred thousand pounds on improvements to reduce the £350,000 energy bills to £200,000 a year.

Bats Force Church To Close

batA church has had to suspend all services because it is home to hundreds of bats. Hilda’s Church, Elleburn in North Yorkshire, has to wait for approval to remove the creatures from the premises from Natural England because the bats are classed as an endangered species, and the church now runs the risk of its long-term future falling into ruin.
