Traders Hit Hard By Late Payments

CarpentryFollowing on from research conducted by WorldPay UK it found that sole traders were losing out on billions of pounds because of waiting up to 15 weeks to get paid.

Over 1000 mobile tradespeople and microbusinesses in the UK were surveryed which found that 75 per cent have had late payments in the last 12 months and are owed on an average of £799 in late payments each year. Research also suggests that they also have to write off an average of £770 each year in outstanding payments.

15 Year Old Takes Drastic Measures to Gain Apprenticeship

He stood outside a local plumbing trading supply store in Grimsby, handing out business cards and wearing a sandwich board asking firms to give him an apprenticeship.
