Due to recent unseasonal weather and a ban on poison, the male of moles population in Britain has soared. Pest controllers have estimated the numbers could be 33million with that rising to 40 million.
The population of nuisance birds in town centres and cities all across the UK have always been a major problem. It makes the towns look dirty and they are also seen by many as a pest because anyone who is walking along eating gets chased and pestered by the birds who are after food.
A church has had to suspend all services because it is home to hundreds of bats. Hilda’s Church, Elleburn in North Yorkshire, has to wait for approval to remove the creatures from the premises from Natural England because the bats are classed as an endangered species, and the church now runs the risk of its long-term future falling into ruin.
Experts are warning that there is a huge increase in the amount of wasps buzzing in the air this summer time. Local pest-controllers in the Lincolnshire area have spotted increased numbers of the insects. This time last year one company was dealing with an average of 2 nest removals per day compared to now where they have removed up to 21 nests in a single day. Read more…
