Local Trader of the Month: Phil White Contractors

Phil White began his company, Phil White Contractors, after a childhood spent helping out on his Uncle’s farm in rural Northamptonshire, which is something that he still does to this day! He has been nominated by a number of happy customers as our Local Trader of the Month.

How did you become a fencing and garden services contractor?

My farming background has certainly helped me gain a number of skills at a young age, especially in the garden services and fencing sectors, so becoming a contractor in these fields was just natural progression, which you can see in the services I now provide as a company.

What services does Phil White Contractors offer?

We provide a number of high quality services; these include supplying a wide range of fences and gates, full landscaping service, tree surgery, property maintenance and repair, paving and driveway repair and installation, general building work and mini excavator work. What sets us apart from other companies in the area is that I pride myself on providing a professional and reliable service for all my returning and prospective customers.

What is the most popular job you are being employed to undertake at the moment?

The most popular jobs we are currently working on is close board fencing and patio areas, with the summer weather picking up, people are paying more attention to improving and enjoying their gardens.

When and why did you join Localtraders.com?

I joined LocalTraders back in February 2012 hoping to widen my catchment area. So far LocalTraders has been working well for me as I have gained work in my surrounding counties, which is what I set out to do in the first place.

Any advice for people wanting to improve their outside space this summer?

The advice I would give people would be to make their gardens less labour intensive with things like raised beds and paved or decked areas, that way they can spend more time enjoying their gardens all year round.
