Hanging a new door is a relatively easy task. First and foremost you will need to remove your old door. Do this by first undoing the screws, moving from the bottom of the door to the top. You may need somebody to help you support the door when removing the last couple of screws so it doesn’t fall and hurt you or damage furniture or scratch walls or the doorframe.
To get the best possible fit from your door you will ideally need a 2mm gap all the way round from the door to the frame. You may find that the new door is a little bit too big to just be slotted in as a straight replacement so if this is the case you’ll need to put the old door on top of the new one and use it as a template to see exactly where you’ve got to plane or maybe cut.

When 73 year old grandmother, Mary Christie, used localtraders.com to find a reputable carpentry firm to build a cupboard in her home, she ended up getting much more than she’d bargained for.
Mrs Christie lives in Chippenham with her 76 year old husband Joe, a retired gardener who still keeps his hand in at a local community garden. During school holidays, she often receives visits from her family and decided she needed somewhere to store her grandchildren’s books, jigsaws and games so submitted her details on localtraders.com and promptly received a call from David Church from Church and Sons about her enquiry.

Taking a closer look, he saw that in the arrangement of knots and spirals in the grain was the face of Jesus looking back at him.

If the shelf that you are going to hang it going to be light then plastic anchors will be fine, the plastic auger is like a screw and will attach into a pre- drilled hole and sit flush with the wall acting as an anchor.
You will need to make sure that the holes you drill are level. It is advisable to drill a pilot hole so that the drywall isn’t damaged when you screw the auger in place. Once you have done this for all the holes, line up the mounting bracket and attach a screw through each of the holes into the plastic anchors then simply tighten the screws and put the shelf onto the bracket.
