With all the doom and gloom in the press over the last 12 months it makes a refreshing and change to hear of a company posting positive sales and growth figures. Rotherham based United Carpets have recently announced sales figures with like for like sales over the 26 weeks leading up to the end of September showing a 2.5% growth.  This shows that during tough times clever marketing and advertising and the right incentives can lead to positive sales trends.   

The Rotherham based carpet company specialises in both flooring and carpets and are the third largest company in the UK, they  have released information showing that bed sales increased by 11.2% and they attributed this to new ranges  and simplifying the sales process.  Carpet sales are on the rise so this is good news for any carpet fitters out there and shows that the general public are gaining more confidence and starting to spend again.

Many companies are and have struggled during the recent tough economic times,  yet this company has focused on their core strength of franchised branches which then empower the entrepreneur  spirit of the owners, with positive sales figures and reduced costs it’s great to see businesses bucking the trend and surely a positive for any carpet fitters out there!!!
